{"id":10673,"date":"2023-04-03T13:10:57","date_gmt":"2023-04-03T11:10:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/?p=10673"},"modified":"2023-04-03T13:10:57","modified_gmt":"2023-04-03T11:10:57","slug":"bonnin-sanso-at-menorcas-real-estate-forum-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/bonnin-sanso-at-menorcas-real-estate-forum-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"Bonnin Sanso at \u201cMenorca\u2019s Real Estate Forum 2023\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On the 24<sup>th<\/sup> March, \u201cMenorca\u2019s Real Estate Forum 2023 &#8216; was held, an event organised by <a href=\"https:\/\/cadenaser.com\/radio-menorca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Radio Menorca SER<\/a>\u00a0 with the collaboration of Mahon\u2019s Town Council, the Professional Association of Real Estate Experts and several companies in the real estate sector.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10667 size-full\" title=\"Foro Inmobiliario Menorca 2023\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/DM_Foro-inmobiliario-2023_Bonnin-Sanso_4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1331\" \/><\/p>\n<p>During this event various issues were discussed in relation to the island\u2019s real estate sector, including the restriction on the sale of properties to non-residents and the decision to buy or rent a home based on the price. There were also presentations on the challenge of housing policies in Menorca by Pau Morl\u00e0, IBAVI Menorca\u2019s Manager and the real estate manager M\u00f3nica Pons Morales.<\/p>\n<p>One of the matters raised at the forum was the problem of access to housing on the island. According to data presented by Pau Morl\u00e0, there are currently 441 families in Menorca waiting for public housing and another 1.200 receiving rent grants. Although new social housing is expected to be built in the near future, it is estimated that around 600 social housing would be required to face the current problem, especially in the eastern area of the island where there is more demand.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10662 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/DM_Foro-inmobiliario-2023_Bonnin-Sanso_14.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1331\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The mayor of Mahon, Hector Pons, pointed out that the solution to the problem of access to housing implies joint work between the public and private sectors. In this sense, he highlighted the importance of respecting international interest in living on the island, but also providing decent housing for those with less economic capacity.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10661 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/DM_Foro-inmobiliario-2023_Bonnin-Sanso_9.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1331\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Many people assisted the &#8216;Menorca 2023 Real Estate Forum&#8217; and various presentations and discussions were held throughout the day. Our Sales Commercial Manager Jose Pons had the opportunity to participate in the debate and discuss the future of the sector on the island with other real estate companies\u2019 representatives.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10663 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/DM_Foro-inmobiliario-2023_Bonnin-Sanso_20.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1333\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10668\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/DM_Foro-inmobiliario-2023_Bonnin-Sanso_39.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1331\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Menorca\u2019s Real Estate Forum 2023 was an important initiative to approach the challenges and opportunities of the real estate sector on the island. Some of the key issues raised at the conference were the need to build more social housing to meet the growing demand, the importance of working together between the public and private sector and the need to provide decent homes for all.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10665 size-full\"
