On the Cami de Cavalls route<\/a> that we suggest each month from Bonnin Sans\u00f3, our starting point is in Mah\u00f3n. The first section has two highly differentiated parts. The first leaves from Sa Col\u00e1rsega in the Port of Mah\u00f3n, following the road that goes to the urbanisation of Cala Llonga diverting us towards Sa Mesquida. We walk through pretty areas but on an asphalted way. Taking the turning to Sa Mesquida (well-marked), we reach its beach after crossing a small group of summer homes, with a fine example of dune plant life. Just after, there is a small cove of black pebbles before the first of the three considerable climbs.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The view from the hill is spectacular because we can see not only the sea but also the effects that the tramontana wind and the salt have on vegetation that has to survive in extreme conditions. The path later drops to sea level until Macar de Binillaut\u00ed, a lovely cove perfect for sitting down, contemplating the sea, having something to eat and drink and chatting with your fellow travellers.<\/p>\n

Continuing on the route, there is another climb where you can appreciate examples of \u201csocarrells\u201d and other plants endemic to Menorca. After a long kilometre, we return to sea level in the Caleta de Binillaut\u00ed, with a fantastic wetlands area. From this point we leave the sea and head inland, following a path between farmland and olive woods. The route comes out to an asphalted road on which, after one kilometre, takes us to Es Grau where a cool beer will be waiting for us in the bars bordering the coast.<\/p>\n

It is a stage of 10km but with a medium level of difficulty, due to its climbs and descents. In any case it is 100% recommendable, above all from Sa Mesquida.<\/p>\n
