In fact, it is one of the most paradisiacal and well-preserved sandy areas of Menorca. It is a beach open to the north so we would not recommend it on days of Tramontane wind. On entering with our boat we should take great care with the rocky bed 200 metres from Punta Rotja, which separates Algaiarens from Cala Carb\u00f3. Within Algaiarens, we can choose to anchor facing Playa d\u2019es Tancat or Playa des Bot. The latter does not usually have as many bathers. Cala Fontanellas, situated in the west, is also a good option.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/a67bc33e3e27ddd8680d40912d98d587.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-bd-normal wp-image-1341\" src=\"\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/a67bc33e3e27ddd8680d40912d98d587-660x330.jpg\" alt=\"Cala Fontanellas\" width=\"660\" height=\"330\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Arenal de Morella<\/strong>: this is a beach protected from the Tramontane but not the Levant wind. It is one of the beaches in Menorca that remains etched in our minds, with views of the Fav\u00e1ritx Lighthouse just in front of a beach that reflects the whiteness of its fine sand. We recommend anchoring in the sand, at the sides of the cove, because there are stones in the centre. It has a depth of between two and three metres. We do advise you, however, to sail close to the coast so that some rocks do not give us a nasty surprise.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_6831.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-bd-normal wp-image-1343\" src=\"\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_6831-660x330.jpg\" alt=\"Cala Escorxada\" width=\"660\" height=\"330\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_6831-660x330.jpg 660w, https:\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_6831-1052x526.jpg 1052w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 660px) 100vw, 660px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Cala Escorxada<\/strong>: this beach is the dream come true for sailors, crystalline water and surrounded by pine trees with few bathers. Anchoring is also over sand to a depth of four metres. Nevertheless, we do not advise it when the south or southwest wind blows. Without doubt, Cala Escorxada is an anchoring far from the madding crowd, perfect for spending an unforgettable night.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Algaiarens: it is a sandy anchoring with some areas of algae.
