The space pays particular attention to the period of British domination.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-316 size-bd-normal\" src=\"\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/museu-can-oliver2-660x330.jpg\" alt=\"museu ca'n oliver2\" width=\"660\" height=\"330\" \/>The exhibition can be found at Ca n\u2019Oliver, a stately home in the heart of Mah\u00f3n, a fine example of the power of the bourgeois class, the entrepreneurial spirit and the relish for art and culture which characterised Minorca at that time.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The house was built by Lloren\u00e7 Oliver at the end of the 19th century, according to the style of the houses of rich merchants who made their fortunes in part by the strategic position of the Island which was coveted by the major naval powers of the time.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-bd-normal wp-image-325\" src=\"\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/9359img41-660x330.jpg\" alt=\"9359img4\" width=\"660\" height=\"330\" \/>One of the finest watchtowers in Mahon, which allowed the watchman to control the arrival of ships, situated at the top of a solid building, the restoration of which has made the most of its small courtyard, awesome and radiant staircase and spacious rooms.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Magnificent frescoes enhance the house, although they are still pending restoration,.
