{"id":7304,"date":"2018-08-23T12:59:18","date_gmt":"2018-08-23T10:59:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/?p=7304"},"modified":"2018-08-23T12:59:18","modified_gmt":"2018-08-23T10:59:18","slug":"a-recipe-for-the-fiestas-of-menorca","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/a-recipe-for-the-fiestas-of-menorca\/","title":{"rendered":"A recipe for the fiestas of Menorca"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The \u201c<strong>Coca bamba\u201d is a typical pudding eaten during the fiestas<\/strong> and shared with family and friends.\u00a0 It can be <strong>served with either hot or cold chocolate<\/strong>, depending on taste and usually comes without the usual fillings of either cream or jam.\u00a0 It is easy to make but takes time owing to the various fermentation processes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>150g peeled potatoes<\/p>\n<p>200g sugar<\/p>\n<p>2 eggs<\/p>\n<p>25g fresh yeast<\/p>\n<p>125g unsalted butter<\/p>\n<p>500g flour<\/p>\n<p>Boil the potatoes, drain and mash.\u00a0 Put in a bowl with the sugar and mix well.\u00a0 Put to one side.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7298\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/CocaBambaMenorca.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"1600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In another bowl melt the yeast with the beaten eggs and butter, add the flour and potato mixture and mix well.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7301\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/cocabamba.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1200\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Cover with a tea towel and leave to rise for five hours. Knead and leave for another five hours then knead gently.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7300\"
