Perhaps it\u2019s unusual to think of Menorca in winter, above all when its beaches are famous the world over during summer. However, spending a weekend on the green and blue island of the Balearics could be a haven of peace and quiet. Saturday morning is a good time to discover the cities of Ma\u00f3 or Ciutadella and visit the local fish and meat markets which are full of flavours and Mediterranean colour. It\u2019s very tempting to have a glass of vermouth at one of the stands in the Mercat des Peixin in Ma\u00f3 or the Mercat de Ciutadella.\u00a0After eating in one of the portside restaurants, we advise going to Punta Nati, Santandria, the Lighthouse of Artruxor anywhere on the west coast in order to take in a wonderful sunset.<\/p>\n

The Teatre Principal of Mah\u00f3n<\/a>, the oldest opera house in Spain, regularly programmes a play or a concert and we recommend you visit it because music and Menorca have a very special relationship. Or if you prefer it\u2019s always nice to end the day with a drink in the famous bar EsCau de Cala Corb, in Es Castell, listening to songs that the locals sing live. Sometimes someone might just pick up the guitar and sing with their heart in their hands.<\/p>\n
