{"id":8744,"date":"2019-11-11T11:17:51","date_gmt":"2019-11-11T10:17:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/?p=8744"},"modified":"2019-11-11T12:04:23","modified_gmt":"2019-11-11T11:04:23","slug":"from-the-countryside-to-the-town","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/from-the-countryside-to-the-town\/","title":{"rendered":"From the countryside to the town"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today we would like to share one of those endearing<strong> stories that we sometimes hear from our clients<\/strong>.\u00a0 We helped <strong>Carme sell her house in the country and buy a village house and this is her story.<\/strong>\u00a0Over thirty years ago she lived in Catalonia but decided to sell her business and come to live in Menorca.\u00a0 The island seemed an ideal place to bring up her two children.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8716\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/carme-sa-vigia-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1067\" \/>She had always wanted to live close to nature and so bought an <strong>isolated house in the country<\/strong>.\u00a0 They loved the tranquillity, the silence and the remoteness from the noise of town centres \u2013 it was a positive way of family living.\u00a0 They always travelled by car to work, to go shopping, to take the children to school as well to their extracurricular activities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Over time their needs changed and everything that she had thought of as a negative in a town centre now seemed a positive<\/strong> \u2013 the noise of neighbours, familiar faces she meets on the street, a taxi rank in case she needs it and being able to walk to the shops.\u00a0 \u201cWhen you see 70 looming around the corner these are the things that you have to think about. You\u2019re still strong enough to pack up a large house with all its memories and young enough to move and take on a new project.\u00a0 It\u2019s nice to renovate and decorate your home again\u201d Carme explains with a big smile.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8717\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/IMG_8651.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"6000\" height=\"4000\" \/>She now lives in the<strong> same municipality &#8211; Sant Lluis \u2013 but this time in the town in a house with a garden and pool<\/strong>. A house that suits her now.\u00a0 She likes to go out shopping in the morning, chat to people and do everything that she didn\u2019t think she would ever do.\u00a0 This is the story she told us when
