{"id":8753,"date":"2019-11-15T11:41:27","date_gmt":"2019-11-15T10:41:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/?p=8753"},"modified":"2019-11-18T10:13:03","modified_gmt":"2019-11-18T09:13:03","slug":"second-itinerary-of-the-albufera-des-grau","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/second-itinerary-of-the-albufera-des-grau\/","title":{"rendered":"Second itinerary of the Albufera des Grau"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We continue with the routes through the Albufera des Grau. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/three-itineraries-for-the-albufera-des-grau\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong><em>After the first itinerary through Sa Gola that we published a few days ago,<\/em><\/strong><\/a> we continue through the <strong>Mirador de Cala Llimpa which runs through the southeast part of the lagoon with its outstanding scenery<\/strong>. This can be done on foot or by bicycle.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8748\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Olivera.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1063\" height=\"797\" \/>The <strong>tour starts<\/strong> in front of the reception and information centre of the Natural Park of S\u2019Albufera des Grau, where we can <strong>leave the car in the car park<\/strong>.\u00a0 The route continues north, walking about 200 metres to the lagoon where we turn right at the <strong>olive tree roundabout<\/strong>. \u00a0After a while we\u2019ll come to another <strong>detour where we bear left<\/strong> \u2013 the other way will take us to the urbanisation of Shangri-La.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8749\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Aguait-den-Biel.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1063\" height=\"797\" \/>Almost straight away we come to the<strong> first interesting stop<\/strong>, the <strong>Aguait d\u2019en Biel Bird Observatory<\/strong> where we<strong> can<\/strong> <strong>see the birds of the Sa Font cove<\/strong>.\u00a0 From here you can also see various small islands, the largest of which is called Islote d\u2019en Mel. It is the only place on the Balearic Islands to find the Balearic Lizard (<em>Podarcis lilfordii<\/em>) which is endemic to Mallorca and Menorca.\u00a0 To get back on the path we have to turn back and climb a gentle slope.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8750\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/acebuches.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1063\" height=\"797\" \/>Continuing our route we come to a <strong>fork<\/strong> where we take the <strong>left<\/strong> hand path.\u00a0 In this section we can enjoy the varied plants that Menorca is lucky to have such as olive trees (<em>Olea europaea var. Sylvestris<\/em>) or even a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/wild-orchids-the-surprise-of-the-menorcan-woods\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong><em>variety of wild orchids<\/em> <\/strong><\/a>such as yellow bee orchids (<em>Ophrys lutea<\/em>) or small bee orchids (<em>O.bombyliflora<\/em>) which can be seen in the Spring.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8751\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Banc-Mirador-de-Ses-Punts.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1063\" height=\"797\" \/>The <strong>end of the tour brings us to the Ses Puntes viewpoint<\/strong>. Here we can take a rest on some stone benches and see the tip of na Verda to the northeast, the cove of Llimpa to the southeast and the area of \u200b\u200bSa Gola to the northeast.<\/p>\n<p>On our way back to the starting point to pick up our car we can take the opportunity of <strong>extending the trip and take the route of Santa Madrona<\/strong> which will take us back to the olive tree roundabout.\u00a0 We hope you\u2019ll enjoy the biodiversity of this fantastic lagoon.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Difficulty:<\/strong> Low<\/p>\n<p><strong>Distance:<\/strong> 1.70 km<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duration:<\/strong> 40 min<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We continue with the routes through the Albufera des Grau.
