Today we would like to start publishing a series of posts to explain, section by section, this route of 185 kilometres that affords us the chance to go around the whole island. You have to start somewhere though, so we are going to take as our starting point the section from Punta Prima to Cala Sant Esteve, very attractive, but an easy stretch so as not to get too tired.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1060\" height=\"596\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/raJr48qvjfk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In the first part of this section, the path goes alongside the sea with spectacular views towards the Illa del Aire and its lighthouse. There are also some delightful tiny coves that tempt you to take a dip (it is one of the great virtues of this route).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/IMG_14361.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-bd-normal wp-image-907\" src=\"\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/IMG_14361-660x330.jpg\" alt=\"Illa de l'Aire\" width=\"660\" height=\"330\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/IMG_14361-660x330.jpg 660w, https:\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/IMG_14361-1052x526.jpg 1052w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 660px) 100vw, 660px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Before reaching the Torre d\u2019Alcalfar, we go through Na Forada da Es Rac\u00f3 des Lleixiu. We then reach Alcalfar.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/IMG_1437.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-bd-normal wp-image-904\" src=\"\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/IMG_1437-660x330.jpg\" alt=\"Caminando Alcaufar\" width=\"660\" height=\"330\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>From this cove, the path goes inland passing along the ravine of Rafalet, where there is a very mature Holm-oak tree. We recommend dropping down to the small sandy cove and climbing a few rocks on the left. It is one of the most beautiful corners of the island.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/IMG_1430.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-bd-normal wp-image-909\" src=\"\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/IMG_1430-660x330.jpg\" alt=\"Zona Rafalet\" width=\"660\" height=\"330\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/IMG_1430-660x330.jpg 660w, https:\/\/www.bonninsanso.com\/discoverymenorca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/IMG_1430-1052x526.jpg 1052w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 660px) 100vw, 660px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The path to Cala Sant Esteve passes close to Rafalet Nou and other country houses, amidst woods, farmland, grazing land and dry stone walls.
