This urbanisation only 12 kilometres to the south of the town of Ciutadella takes its name from the sandy beach with its clear waters. Geographically, Menorca is the easternmost and northernmost island of the Balearic Islands, declared a Biosphere Reserve in 1993 by UNESCO.
