New episode of Charlas que Inspiran featuring Ferran Sánchez from Básico – an unfiltered entrepreneur.

In Spain, more than 100,000 ideas die every year. Not because they fail — but because of fear. Because here, if you take a risk, they tell you you’re bound to crash. And if you succeed, they say you were just lucky — or that it was handed to you.

But there are those who defy that logic. They venture out without a book of instructions, without a clear path, without a safety net. They stumble, they persevere — and they keep moving forward.  In today’s episode of Charlas que Inspiran, we sit down with one of them: Ferran Sánchez.

A designer, entrepreneur, and tireless creative mind. Ferran Sánchez is the founder of Muy Brutal, a bold marketing agency; Paput, an irreverent fashion brand; Percal; and Básico — a restaurant that first came to life on the southern coast of Menorca (Punta Prima) and now brings its unique spirit to the heart of Chamartín, Madrid.   Ferran doesn’t just break the rules — he reinvents them.

This episode was recorded at the new Básico Madrid — a venue that retains the tranquility of Menorca while embracing the vibrant bustle of the city, all without losing its distinctive character or instinct.

Ferran shares the story of how it all began — from his initial experiences at Es Mercat des Peix to the establishment of Básico. He reflects on the challenges of launching a venture with minimal resources, the limitations — as well as the opportunities — presented by Menorca, and how he has developed an approach grounded in practical realities.

“If you were to lose everything tomorrow, would you start over?”
“Absolutely,” Ferran responds—without hesitation.

Ferran’s journey began with a spark of Paput — irreverent, dynamic, and spirited — yet all his ventures, much like his agency Muy Brutal, embody boldness and authenticity. He chose the humble name Básico for one of his most ambitious projects, perhaps reflecting his ability to make the complex seem effortless.

Looking ahead, numerous outstanding Percales are set to unfold — projects brought to life by those who not only dream but also act decisively.  This is more than just another episode; it is the story of a self-made entrepreneur, one destined to achieve whatever goals they set in the future.

Thank you, Ferran, for sharing so much  in just 60 minutes and for reminding us that entrepreneurship is not about appearances. It is about resilience in the face of pressure, creating when no one is watching , and having the courage to be yourself when others choose the easy path. Your story is not only inspiring but also a lasting lesson for those seeking to follow your footsteps.

You didn’t just tell a story. You left us with a lesson — one we won’t forget.

Ferran Sánchez: an unfiltered entrepreneur. Everything else is just background noise. Don’t miss the episode!
