Better use of your garage space

Servinam ordem et ordo servavit te: keep order and order will keep you.

It may seem that the garage is just that boring place where you store the car and anything else that does not fit in the house. However, with a little imagination, making use of walls, roof, corners and following these tips that Bonnin Sanso have compiled, you can enjoy an ordered space with a place for everything.

  1. Hang, hang and hang: Hanging things up is a great way to keep order, making it easier to find all the things that are used most often and taking up less space. You can fix transparent plastic buckets, baskets or hooks on to the walls to hold paints, sponges, gloves, tools, brooms or hoses. You can also reuse transparent pots as containers for screws, batteries, etc. A way to be ecological and organized.
  2. Each tool in its place: A good idea to keep the tools in the right place is to paint their outline on the wall to know where each one goes and in this way, identify immediately if we need to replace one or if its missing.
  3. Reuse boxes such as boxes of vegetables or wine but that could be used for storage and label them: Christmas decorations, plastics of all kinds, plumbing tools, power tools or light bulbs, mosquito candles and other summer items.
  4. My new work table: Often you need a work space and with two boxes and a plank of wood, you can have it made.
  5. Fix Bicycles on the walls vertically: Hang the smallest lowest down and then hang the others in size order above.
  6. Use the space above your head: A good place to hang bicycles, fishing rods, paellas or other large objects is from the ceiling. The car will still be able to fit without danger of scratches. There are also cabinets that hang from the roof, which offer a lot of space and can be put at the end of the garage if you enter the car front first.
  7. Let’s cheer up the garage: It’s always good to keep the garage neat: clean and painted in bright colors. Painting the floor with plastic paint will help to maintain it much better.
  8. How many balls do we have at home? If we are a house of athletes, we advise you to put some baskets with lids to separate and store all the different types.
