Llucmaçanes is included in the district of Maó and is made up of a quiet centre of single-family homes that are spread around the church of Sant Gaiteà . This parish centre constitutes the locals’ meeting point and during the first weekend of August , the village joins in with the patron saint festivals of Menorca with the traditions of horses and music. Mahon is the capital of Menorca, the main communication centre with its airport and port, considered the longest in the Mediterranean with a length of more than 7 kms.
