Interview with Luis Anglés of “BONITA MENORCA” in Binifadet

Luis Anglés opens the doors to Binifadet to share with us its origins and to announce Bonita Menorca’s new projects.

The history of Binifadet goes back more than forty years, when Lluis’ father began planting and experimenting with more than forty different vines to see which ones were best suited to the island’s climate. After twenty years of testing, the wine started to do well and that encouraged him to set up what Binifadet is today.

 

In the midst of the pandemic, ten years later, they saw the need to expand and began the Menorca Bonita project. A company that manages unique and emblematic places on the island, through catering.  This way, they want to show both locals and visitors, the authentic Menorca.

In addition to Binifadet, they currently manage Bucaneros, an iconic beach bar on the coast of the island with turquoise seawaters, the Cantina of the Hauser & Wirth cultural project, and the centenary and well-known meeting point, American Bar de Mahón, which celebrates its 100 years in 2024. This summer, Tamarindos, will join these four places, a legendary restaurant on the seafront, in the natural setting of s’Albufera des Grau.

The gastronomic offer will be based on spanish cuisine, inspired by the well-known series “Verano Azul”, with very typical beach dishes, and of course there will be no shortage of rice and fish dishes. Opening in June 2022!
