Cami de Cavalls ( the old horse route around the island) has become one of the main attractions for visitors to Menorca. There are already many guides with maps, places of particular interest and information which is also available on web sites. Nowadays apps are available which help to make the route a more interesting as well as safer experience.
One of these apps is “Cami de Cavalls” which provides in depth information about this beautiful coastal path. It has been developed by Juna José Pons Florit, costing 1.99 euros it is suitable for iPhone and iPad with versions in English, Spanish and German, although the latest update is from March 2012.
Another option is My112, an app from Movilforum Partners Programme which has the advantage of geo-localisation, enabling you to communicate with the SEIB112 (Balearic Emergency Service) and sends your actual position to the telephone operator.
This app is available for iOS and Android systems in Spanish, Catalan and English and its latest update of May 2015 makes it compatible with the 112 emergency number for Madrid and Castilla León.
