The Bar of the Sun God

Emilio Pérez and his partner Georgill Luis had the dream of being able to open a bar in the centre of Mahón and when they discovered the premises that had previously been occupied by a hamburger chain, it was love at first sight. Their original idea was to have an elegant place at a good price, a bar where you could have a sandwich or some tapas at any time of the day. With the opening of Inti in July this year, they were able to make their dream come true and now want to keep that dream alive throughout the year.

Inti Bar

Inti is the name in Quechua of the Sun God, considered the most important deity of Inca mythology. “The sun is a source of energy and we want to give all our customers that energy” explains Emilio. The venue measures 230m² and has two floors as well as a terrace to sit with friends. They open at 9am and the kitchen never closes because the idea behind this new family-run venture is to create a new space in the city’s offer of bars. The key piece in the kitchen is Georgill’s mother, whose magical hands create magical dishes. Without her, the Bar Inti would not be the same.

The decoration is also one of the strong points of this new establishment which has a lot to do with the good taste of Georgill and the advice given to them from the Equipaments Companies throughout the entire process of opening. “We have transformed the premises, giving it a modern air. We really liked the type of floor that was already there, which gives it great character, but we changed everything else” they explain.

From Bonnin Sansó we wish them great success in this new adventure.
