This weekend, I hope for your support

I have been asked to speak about one of my hobbies and I am really pleased to be able to do so because just a few weeks ago I was lucky enough to take part in a competition in which I qualified to compete in the next qualifying championship, the county championships, and for the first time, and I’m going to speak about it.

Judo in Menorca

I have practiced judo since I was seven years old. From the first day, it became my passion, although it is considered a martial art / combat sport, I had a completely experience, judo in fact educational sport that has helped me to underline the values of respect for my colleagues, self-control, discipline, effort and improvement.

Practice Judo in Menorca

What I like most about the sport is the philosophy that underpins the martial art, the possibilities of being able to apply techniques learnt on the training mat in competition and, above all, the companionship. I think that judo has very often been an unknown quantity, however people forget that it has been an Olympic sport for more than 50 years.

Scott Perkins, Judo

We have four judo clubs in Menorca. Three in Mahón (Judo Club Bushidokan, Haruka and Escola Menorquina) and one in Es Castell (Judo Es Castell). At the beginning of December the junior and senior Menorca ranking competition was held in the Mahón, and I was able to qualify for the Balearic Championship that will be held next weekend in Mallorca. I’m really excited about taking part and representing Menorca at a regional level, and this is why I want to share my story with you. Next weekend I hope for your support.
